1939 Business News

A couple of items caught my attention while cataloging all of the digital pictures I have of the microfilm of old newspapers for Fowlerville.  They are not really related except for the fact they were two businesses in the downtown area in the late 1930s.  Both items were found in The Fowlerville Review, when it was owned by the Rudnickis.

New Store Front on Grand River~~Workmen have been busy during the past week tearing out the old front of Tomion's Dairy Store, and are now rebuilding it in a different style.  The old brick and cement front will be replaced with shiny new vitrolite of cream and black colors.  It is expected to be completed next week.
The picture above is credited for circa early 1960 so the storefront still had the vitrolite in cream and black at least 20 years later.

Another item found was the following advertisement for a body shop:

Does anyone remember this body shop?
